i got a 75mm accufab for 290 shipped. it was definitally worth it. i couldnt pass it up. anyway, i would advise to get the 75mm over the 70. it wont hurt it on N/A. i thought it was a niice little addon, especially at low rpms i can hear it whistle. haha its cool.

Thanks for all the great advice!!
I decided to go with the Accufab 70mm combo because I will never go FI on this car (trying to stay stock within reason).
It should be here this week so I'll let ya'll know how it works out!

This thread was perfect for me. I've been debating over the past couple of weeks whether or not to get a TB/Plenum. I'm now trying to decide between BBK and Accufab. Any recommendations? 75mm is definitely what I'm going for.

One more question....does FI stand for Forced Induction? Seems logical, but I just don't know. Thanks for any help/advice.

Its not really worth it on a N/A car. If you just feel like you need it to complete all the boltons (like I did) then go for it, its not that expensive and it does help a little.

I didn't notice anything in the "throttle response" area or anything like that, and I fail to see how you could... it doesn't open any quicker etc. I think that 99.99 percent of people that put on a t/b and plenum think they feel something because they expect to. However, I don't see how anyones butt dyno is going to detect 5-10 WHP.

That's kind of what I thought, but then again I read the same thing about replacing the exhaust system from the catback (Magnaflow) and I felt an immediate difference. As a bonus I gained a solid 2mpg.
I also felt a slight bit more pull when I dropped in the K&N and removed the silencer. I confirmed this by putting it back for a couple of days and there was definitely a difference. FWIW I had a false start on that one because the first time I removed it I didn't get the filter seated correctly and it performed worse so if you see a thread about it that was the problem with my first try.

There is certainly the placebo effect with most of these mods: IOW no matter what you put on you *will* feel a difference, at least you think you do.

As for throttle response, that's a tricky one. I compare it to my daughter's 2003 Jetta which is low in HP/Torque numbers but is a hell of a lot of fun to drive on a twisty road. That car just revs and revs and the throttle response is instantaneous which makes up for the lack of power somewhat and gives the illusion that you are going faster than you really are.

Mustang 5.0 magazine just did a 2V bolt on and they got some decent gains with the Accufab combo (75mm). Exhaust/pullies/CAI also got good gains but the tune did essentially nothing which surprised me a little. I think it is in last month's issue.

I know the feeling!
This is going to sound silly but the main reason I held off was because I like the look of the stock plenum and the running pony.
I know I could port it out, and maybe once I get it off I will but for now I went with the Accufab.

The reason I didn't go with BBK was because I like the looks of the Accufab and the construction appears to be more solid.
I went with 70mm because I am nervous about leaning the engine out too much although I would think there is plenty of room in the MAF to compensate, but since I never plan FI 70mm was a perfect fit for me.
I spoke to a couple of tuning places and they all told me to go 70mm as did Accufab's tech line.

Here is the flow rates BTW. As you can see the rates are the same for the 70mm and 75mm for NA.
However if you go FI the 75mm has the *potential* to pass more air.

Good luck!!
