my guess is that the new GT weighs more than the older ones ... so even if it has a little more power ... its still a little slower

the weight is 3600 pounds not far fetched to the 99-04gts, and with 40 more hp and 3 valve there should be more of a differance. And the new one should be made to kill its older brothers...whats up with that

they should be .1 - .2 faster than the 99-04's... but they also have a much better suspension. them cars are freaks - you see 9 of em run all low 14's then one comes out and runs a mid 13

i sometimes wonder if my 99 GT is a factory freak .... tell me what u guys think

i raced my frieds 02 M3 with the SMG tranny... thats the tranny that shifts faster than a person can shift... its really cool..... i stuck directly on his *** until 70mph and then we had to stop ... but he wasnt pulling on me at all...

i raced a corvette convertable and i was a tiny bit ahead of him and then in 3rd he started to pull and he came up on me ... then we had to stop at 70 because of a light...

my friend has a supercharged IS300 with 315RWHP.... i beat him all the way up till 120 and then in 4th gear around 120 he creeps up on me for a second

i dont know but with all those races i had a stock GT 5spd with flows welded in to my stock exhaust and subframe connectors and lower control arms.... THATS IT... i even lost tractiin when i switched to 2nd gear because my tires were bald... with all those races...

does that sound like normal 99 GT behavior?

factory freak is aka a mistake, have any drivability problems, what does your car sit at idle

MD u factory freaks occur often?

My car idles @ 1500 rpms when cold then back down to 1050 or so when warmed up. my car seems to idle really high esp. after i installed my exhaust.

I idle at around 700 or so when its warm... in the morning when its cold its at aroun 1100 until it warms up to 700
