I have been looking at buying a tuner for this new car of mine and all I can find is a hypertech, Jet powertech, and a Diablosport. I was wondering if these things were worth the 250-400 bucks for one??

SCT makes great products. Its worth the money if you need a programmer to help with air/fuel, shift points (auto), rev limit, etc.

Yeah I just saw that SCT and it looks really nice but that diablo looks really good. and I just didn't know with me not having an auto car if it is really worth it. I mean all this car has is K&N cold air and exhuast and soon to be stage 1 cams. So is it worth it?

I'm not a programmer expert nor do I have one on my car but I think its worth it in the long run especially if you are buying cams. If you plan on doing some more mods to your car, the programmer will help a lot [sm=nxsmile.gif]

Read up on which one you think will work best for your car then decide. I know there is a new one out by SCT called LiveWire. Go to americanmuscle.com and check it out.

handheld tuner wont do sh*t for you when you get cams. now a dyno tune is a different story, the tuner will use your SCT

But still the question, Is it worth the money or would the money be more wisly spent on something else. and I forgot to say that I also have under drive pulleys. Dont know if that makes a big difference.

I don't know what mods you have done so far besides underdrive pulleys, but you could invest that money into some long tube headers, gears, etc.

Yeah i was thinking some long tubes but I didn't know how well they would fit. I put long tubes on my fox and has steering collum clearance issues.

When you start drastically changing things that the factory tune can not compensate for, (like cams), then it's not an option whether or not you getan aftermarket tune, it's mandatory. Don't just think you can swap out your cams, buy ANY aftermarket handheld tuner and magically dial your car in. It doesn't work that way.
