Default Steeda UDP's

I want to buy the Steeda UDP's. I have read that you need special tools to remove the stock pulleys and put these on. I don't mind paying someone to do it. Its just finding the time to bring it to a shop and leave it for a day. Are they really that difficult toinstall?

No, they aren't difficult to install, but you will need air tools. Any shop can do it in less than an hour. You should be able to make an appointment and get in and out....

I was thinking of picking up some. Are they worth it? Do they effect A/C at all??

A lot seem to like Steeda. They are non-piggyback style. I doubt it will affect your accessories at all. Maybe under extreme circumstances but unlikely. I just don't have the tools to remove the stock pullies. Another trip to the shop I guess. If you can figure out how much HP your accessories steal from your engine, you can get an idea of how much you will get back with the UDP's.

the hardest one to get is the alternator pulley from what i hear (PITA) it wont affect your charge unless you have a serious system and should be running 2 alternators (which i doubt) haha it doesnt affect your regular A/C but Max A/C doesnt seem as cool. so keep it on the highest level of regular A/C and it blows ice. dont expect any super gains, maybe 3-8 hp. little better mpg from what i hear too.

cool, and i didnt say your A/C wont work, i said the MAX A/C setting gets degraded if its on full blast. That was my experience... degraded A/C (only on the highest setting) and every now and then a flicker of the headlights when at a light (fixed with HID's for some reason)

+1...havent experienced the headlights but other than that not too bad of an install...take the altenator off and have a local autozone or w/e take it off and put the new one off...they did it in about 30 seconds...while you are there rent the harmonic pulley puller and you will be set...that and some air tools

EDIT: GET STEEDAS!!
