HELP! TB/PLENUM INSTALL
ok, so i'm helping my buddy install a tb/plenum combo on his car.....everythings going relatively smooth until these two screws ....
they wont budge and they're on the brink of stripping....how the f*ck do you get them out?
I did the same swap on my 03GT and these two bolts came out with no problem whatso-ever
do you think i can take it down to autozone and have them take it off?
or should i buy a new tps sensor....thats what it is right?

RE: HELP! TB/PLENUM INSTALL
whats the problem, are they stripped?? or can you just not get them to turn?? if you cant get them to turn, try putting it in the freezer for a minute or two should help the metal contract a little bit. i cant guarantee this wont ruin the TPS but its worth a shot.

RE: HELP! TB/PLENUM INSTALL
take a dremel tool, and grind a slot across the face of the bolt (like a flat head screw) and use a screw driver. As you try to turn the screw loose, tap the end of the screwdriver with a hammer at the same time you are turning it, should knock it loose.

RE: HELP! TB/PLENUM INSTALL
well glad to know we werent the only ones who had this issue
if it were me (im cheap), i woulda done what you said with the dremmel, but my buddy just wants it done so we just went out and bought a new tps and some screws to fit....and its bolted on and runs great
i have the exact same car (03 GT) as my friend and got the exact same intake setup (BBK TB/Plenum) and mine was off and on in like 20 minutes including a beer... his car took over an hour of trying to get bolts off (hooray for PB blaster) and a trip to autozone for a new sensor/bolts.....guess its just one of those fluke things....
anyways thanks for your help guys

That's a great idea, I'll have to remember that for the future.
