RE: NA UPGRADE BIBLE
if I could do it all over again I'd skip all of my boltons and just get a catback and save up for a supercharger...I've put about 4k including labour...all that money could have gone to a blower....live and learn I guess

RE: NA UPGRADE BIBLE
Hello to all from a new member. I did a search looking to find out what the best upgrades for my new Mustang were and found this thread. (hope it's ok to dig up an old thread versus starting a new one....) One thing that I have not found in this or other threads is the best order for adding these power upgrades to the Stang. I have a new '04 Mustang GT Convertible (Daily Driver) and looking to add some additional power in stages. One order for adding power that was suggested to me was the following.
1. Underdrive Pulleys
2. Cold Air Intake System
3. Throttle Body, Plen, Mass Air Meter
4. Exhaust (X-Pipe & Cat Backs)
5. Diablo Chip
Thoughts?
TIA

RE: NA UPGRADE BIBLE
Well actually, Exhaust and gears should definetly be the first mods you do. Then you can work on the pulleys and timing adjuster and cold air intake. I wouldnt mess with the upper intake till you have the rest of the mods completed because the power/cost ratio is to far off to do that right away. Same goes for the chip tune. You dont want to go into any tunes till you've fully modded your car because its too expensive to retune on a dyno or have the chip sent in to have it reburned.
Here is a list of my mods. They are in no particular order but this is all ive done.
70mm Mac TB
85mm ProM MAM
Densecharger CAI
Steeda UD pulleys
Mac Ceramic Coated LT headers
Bassani O/R X pipe
Magnaflow Weld-in mufflers
Magnaflow 3.5” exhaust tips
Ported and Polished stock plenum
SCT Chip
H&R 1.5” progressive rate lowering springs
Monroe Sensatrac Fox body rear shocks
Blue Oval upper and lower control arms
FMS 4.10 gears
11" upgraded Ford racing clutch
Nitto 555R Drag Radials
Pro 5.0 Short throw shifter
