Default Summit Racing Control Arm Set

hey everyone,

I just installed a set of the summit racing upper/lower contol arms for my '97 GT. the axle seems to point too far down causing a bad driveshaft angle. These arms were supposed to be a stock replacement. anyone ever run into this problem? is there someway to fix this without having to pull the alxe out again and install different control arms?

not sure if this makes a difference, but i have ibach lowering springs.

well i just called summit racing tech support and they told me this set is not a stock replacement and that its designed to put the pinion angle lower for launching. of course none of this is mentioned on the website.

Is it just solid control arms?(NON adajustable set?)Adjustable uppers would fix that prob.

yeah, just a solid set. the whole set was $219, i was looking at adjustable uppers and they runs in the few hundreds. is is possible to modify the current uppers or is that not advised?

I think the same thing happened to me. I dont remember where or what kind I got but now at1500rpms it feels like there's a "binding" vibration in the driveline.

I just got mine. The uppers are 11 1/4 inches long, end to end. They are 9 1/4 inches from bolt to bolt, measuring from the center of the holes.

Well, the uppers are the exact same measurement as stock ford ones!

i think the tech support guy from summit was an idiot. i suspected that when he told me no one makes a stock replacement control arm for my car, and the only way to get stock geometry is to get stock parts. really, come on, its a mustang, everything is available.

anyone have lower measurements for the summit control arm set?
