Hey guys,

I wanted to know what the biggest tires you have been fitting on the factory 17 inch 99-00 GT wheels were? I want to run some Nitto drags on them, but I dont want to have issues with the tires not being safe and bubbling out on me. Preferably something with some sidewall to please. Thanks for any input.

there is no point to put more then 255/45/17 and they do make DR's in that size. Also you can fit 275/45 on also but since the wheel is only 17/8 the tire will bend and the center of the tire won't be gripping as well. People usually put 245/45/17 DR's and the sixty foot is much better. Also stock GT doesn't have that much power to put huge 315/40's on you'll be fine with a regular size

You can run 315's if you want to and you will have no problem with anything rubbing, im changing my 275's to 315 nittos,plus they will look sick!! lol

I am on a factory 17x8 wheel..I currently have 315s on my set of 03' Cobras that 17x10.5s......I want these tires for my factory GT wheels...

You're not gonna get 315s on a 8 inch wide rim and even if you shoe horn them on, the cars *** will be all over the place.
