Noise violation?

Borla Stinger catback + MAC o/r Prochamber

Is that a setup that will get me a noise violation ticket from the cops??

I realize that every cop is different, some being more leniant than others, but in general what do you guys think??

I already have the parts, they are waiting to be installed, just thought I would ask.

Depends. If your not driving like a retard of holding gears, most cops in my area leave you alone.

when you see cops, just accelerate really slow. that's how i keep my stuff semi-quiet.

Oh.

I'm normally a logical driver so I don't plan on takin it up to 5k in 2nd gear or anything like that...often anyways ;) lol

I'm sure it'll be loud b/c everyone who has the stingers say they are loud, and that the PC will only make it louder. I just don't want to get a ticket for it, so far I haven't had a single ticket [knock on wood] and would like to keep it that way.

lol that wouldn't be too smart.

yea man I'm fricken excited as hell to get it on there, but unfortunalty Michigan suxooorsss. The weather is gonna be in the teens next week :(. I only need 1 day to get my stuff on there b/c I found someone thats gonna do it for me, so as soon as that one warm day comes, i'll be good to go.

oh and if it matters i'm staying with 3.55's. i was looking at this huge 03/04 cobra challenge and out of the top 25 only 2 had changed their gears, everyong pretty much had all the boltons and ported blowers or aftermarktet blowers with 3.55's and this is on street tires. oh and first place had nitrous and he had changed his snake to an auto, his time was 10.30 on street tires... next was like 10.5. if i were you i'd go with 4.30's tho

Yeah.. there was a cop behind me yesterday and I didnt even know it. I floored it from a redlight but stopped right on the speed limit and didnt break traction and he left me alone. But some black dude in front of me was weaving in and out of traffic then slammed on the brakes and made a quick right into Church's Chicken and the cop went right after his arse. I thought it was funnah!

Moral of the story is that no matter how loud your car is... as long as you dont play the part of a jackass then most cops will leave you alone.

heh nice story JD.

I'm not planning to play the part "jackass" so I guess the consensus is that I'll be alright. Not like it would've made much of a difference since I already have the parts, I just was wondering if I should look out for anything.

Thanks for the replies.
