just an observation here but.........My brother has the same problem with his Chevy truck and bought the Mils.....He brought it back (after 100+ miles on the mils) and the obd 2 computer said that the system is NOT READY for testing. I am guessing that the computer can "sense" when the 02 sensor has been replaced with a mil????

Like I said...just an observation

My car was emissions tested with MIL eliminatorsand hollowed out cats and after it idled for 15 minutes it passed the emissions test. Depending on the state, they are supposed to allow your car to run for 15 mins before sniff testing. However, if you have any emissions codes whenyou go in, you'll fail. If you do the oldunhook your battery for 10 minsto get rid of the check engine light and immediately go to get it tested you'll probably fail the test (the computer must performa complete diagnostic cycle that may take a few days to a week depending on your driving habits).

During the diagnostic cycle a code of P1000 will showup on the tester's equipment and on SCT tuners but usually not on the code readersat autozone. Usually that code will fail you on theemissions test.

Long story short, replace the02(s)in question, unhook the battery for 10 mins to let the computer reset, and drive it around for a week. If the check engine light doesn't come back on, getit tested.

How are you waisting money on an O2 sensor? How about the money you'll waist on a failed smog check because the sensor is defective?
+1 having the system operational and spending money on the sensor makes more sense then failing an emmisions test

Your best bet is to replace the sensor, or try finding a shop that will look the other way on it.
