Drop your cat back and gut the cat out, that's pretty much a no brainer...

The cats you plan to order from 50resto are the same ones I have on my car. Beware my friend! They do not like speed bumps. I busted one of thecats on a speed bump and I just gutted both of them out. I then put MIL eliminators on for the check engine light.

I can't run without cats, because of CA laws...(godd I hate CA laws)....

bluepony4.6, thanks for the heads up. I will have to go super slow over them at an angle...always works.

Exactly how do you know if your cat is busted?

You should hear a weird metallic rattling noise coming from under the car usually when it's idling or when you barely press the gas (at least that's when mine rattled). Your car will run like crap on the take off. In my case, the substrate came loose inside andrattled around, ending up looking like a tennis ball inside the converter's shell. Every timeI pressed the gas the ball would move to the back of the converter, blocking the passageway for exhaust to leave the converter. So basically I was only running one side of my exhaust.

My problem wasn't just speed bumps. The entrance to my apartment complex was like a huge speed bump and even at an angle my car would scrape sometimes. I hated that apartment but the rent was cheap.

i don't get it, you have no money, so how are you a frequent customer to a mustang shop??
and as for the cats, just buy a new one.

just take it to the exhaust shop and have them cut the cats off then buy some mils or a tuner.

Maybe they had a 25 cent gumball machine. I heard that sour gumcan give you up to 10 hp. Seriously, Iused to be a frequent customer to mustang shops. Once the money ran out, I only visited them. I actually worked at one for a week.

LOL. By frequent customer, I mean I usually buy anything I need for my car from them. I broke enough to not buy a new midpipe, but I still spend money on my car.

Besides, the savings is how i paid for everything before...now that it's running low, it's time to get a job!
