Default engine mod question

well im planning on doing some extensive work to my engine (4.6L non-pi) in the long run i plan to add boost so i know i deffinately want to forge the internals. but from what i gather it seems to get good power out of my engine i need to do a PI swap. well i've also gathered that after a PI swap your compression ratio gets real high which running boost would be risky. i've also talked to ppl who have said that boring the engine has done wonders for them....so my plan is to bore the engine, get the PI swap, port the heads and if i can find something other than a plastic intake manifold port that too. then to forge the internals. and finally to add maybe a vortech. and of coarse getfuel injectors with some more spray.soooooo! what do u guys think? good idea? bad idea?
