Engine Replacement

RE: Engine Replacement
went through a few motors on my 98.
blew 2 98 motors, and now i have an 01 sitting in it.
works fine, just had to rig up the temp. gauge as the 99+ have one sensor for both dash and ecu, and the 98 had 2, one for ecu and 1 for the dash. you should be just fine, i've probably got 150 or 160k on the body and 60-70k on the motor and it runs perfectly fine.
but then again, back between 02-04 the springs, shocks, rearend, and tranny were all replaced due to stupidity or old age.
it would still be a bit of work, but it's definantly not a horrible option. ever thought about swapping your wiring harness, ecu, and motor? then you could still insure it as a v6 and have the v8....

RE: Engine Replacement
Be careful with a car with that many miles. I would definitely stay away from the wreck there is a reason why it did not get fixed in the first place especially with a bent frame. I recommend trying to find a clean '00 or '01 for 8-9 K.
