I have royal purple synchromesh in my tremec 3650 right now and don't really like it. I put in 3.2 quarts.
Lots of noise and roughness.
Im thinking about trying mobile one or something.
Any thoughts?

hmmm. 3.2 doesn't see like enough. I thought the 3650 called for 3.8. I have RP Max ATF. No issues. The place where I get my work done likes Amsoil. I guess its all very personal.

there is a big debate on how much fluid and which fluid to put in, i had a bunch of great links about it but i lost them when i reformated my computer. i ended up putting in 3.2q (3L) of mobil 1 synthetic fluid when i did my short throw install.

mobil one atf synthetic is awesome. takes about 3 days to break in , but after that , smooth as a baby's ****.

Sorry to barge in on the thread but maybe some of you can help. I just put my engine back in and Im toppin all my fluids and getting ready to start it up. Im stuck on tranny fluid. What should I use and how much. I have a 2002 GT automatic. I have a tuner that has a shift kit programmed already so would that play a role in which brand

I use Red Line D4 ATF in my 3650.

I'm a black sheep in this forum when it comes to synthetic oils. Most likely it's because my preferred brand doesn't advertise on this forum and they are located here in CA.
No oil is going to correct "noise and roughness" if it's due toa mechanical problem.

na that shift kit wont make a difference on which fluid to use. i like mobile one synthetic atf , but thats just me.

ford ATF mercon V synthetic, shifts like a dream and doesnt make noise.
