Default Airconditioning affecting shifting

I rarely use my AC but recently its been crazy humid, anyway does anyone notice any change in their manual shifting when using the AC. In my case it is harder to get it into first and it doesnt seem to release from gear as smoothly, im wondering if this is common or not.

The only thing I could imagine would be the dropping of engine speed more quickly due to compressor drag and possibly a lower idle.

I hate driving with my AC, i can really feel my engine dragging, and my engine idles higher for longer before going back down with the AC on

the AC will not affect shifting. it will mess w/ you engine though. the AC turns the compressor on which makes the car slower, and loss on MPG

I dont have any problems with shifting but that engine seems to lose alot of power with the a/c on.
