I have a 2002 gt conv. with auto and a 3.27 rear. The car seems to turn to high of rpm before it shifts. It shifts out of 1st at about 6200 rpm. If i shift it early or its in drive it still goes over 6000 rpm. Is this normal?. This is with wot. thanks Joe

At WOT my auto shifts at about 5600 RPM's... Perhaps your car has a chip in it. You can adjust shift points with certain chips or programmers. Mine will never hit 6k unless I shift it manually.
