that is a carburated engine. i dont think that there is any way that you could get that to work with your computer. i know the efi to carb swap is possible (im sure you could search for that on here), but it wouldnt work with you car's computer, and i dont know what you would need to do to get it running. im sure somebody else will chime in...

i know its carb. thats the thing i like. Its something new and its an engine thats going to put out 375hp and 360 tq. Its a badass engine and they have something on there with the ignition setup and efi setup so i think it will work but thats for your opinion but anyone else know anything.

The OEM computer will have nothing to do (literally) with running this engine--the spark will be handled by the supplied ignition system, and fuel trim will be handled by the carburetor. The only thing left is fan control. It is likely you'llneed a diffrent fuel pump. Why don't you ask the builder these questions?

You realise your not going to drop this thing in and drive it as a DD on the street right?

For 6000 bucks... whats wrong with your 2v? Is your current engine shot? if not, 6000 dollars will take you a LONG way, and go alot farther than 375 flywheel horsepower and 360 TQ.

Your only looking at a motor putting out about 325 WHP here... for 6000 bucks.

Here is what I would do with 6K:

Blower kit w/ tune: 4000
I/C; 700
LTs, new midpipe: 800~

that leaves ya 500 bucks left over for some suspension stuff (control arms/subframes/shocks/struts would be nice). your talking 400+ WHP here on a completely streetable car that doesn't have the massive PITA of a carbeartor setup that needs to be adjusted constantly. EFI ftw.

Lets put it this way, if you have never done anything like this before, its not just as simple as dropping it in and being done with it. A carbed 4v would definatly be something different... but thats not always a good thing. your resources for help and parts will be virtually non existant, and god only knows what problems you could run into getting it put in there.

Hell, for 6K if you want to stay N/A you can rebuild your stock 2v with a aftermarket shortblock, cams, valvesprings, and ported heads, and still have something around 800 left over for a custom tune and tuner, and have a decent setup making at least 320 WHP, plus it would be ready for ya to dump the nitrous to it (aftermarket shortblock ftw) and make some real power.

Carbed 4v ftl!

it notesit has a stand alone ignition system, sooooo it wont even connect to your computer, hope you dont have emissions testing where you are ,

also that carb sits about 4 inches higher than the standard intake, so good luck with a hood(need an ait cleaner on top of that too)

love those lil exhaust manifolds, talk about cheap skimping on them!

for 2000 more you can get a used terminator and get 380 rwhp and jsut need to change out the ecu

those exhaust manifold will go and ive done engine swaps before. Ive put a few emails into the company about all this, they havnt answered yetbut ill figure it out in the long run. Im not going to start puting things on my block cause it has 100k miles on it and would blow something with something like a s/c. If this wont work then thats fine, ill figure out a new route but i have to try. Love the carb set up and everything so we will see what happends. thanks for the info guys.

um for 6 grand im pretty sure you could get a 351w stroker (408 cough cough) and have 400+ horsepower. then all you would need is a different kmember. with a carburator you mite as well throw your ecu in the trash. fuel controlled by carb. ingition controlled my distributor. simple as that

yeah but not everybody isn't looking for power that way, some poeple want to stand out rather than just having another "supercharged GT" could you imagine how badass it would be to have a carbed 4v in your car? nobody else basically would have it. and as for a DD i doubt you would have that because there's no way a carbed 4.6 motor would pass emmisions in a 96-04 GT, atleast in PA
