ya it would be badass man and thats what i like but like you said emission wouldnt allow that to happen. I could drop it in my 66 mustang but not my 01. Im now either just going to get a stroker kit and new heads and cams for my 01 motor or i found a 03 mach engine for sale for 4000. If i get the mach, ill put new heads and cams in it and drop it in cause it come with all the wire and everything. What else would i need to get the mach to work?

actually dropping that motor in your 66 would mean clearance issues. I know for a fact you'd have to relocate your strut or shock towers or whatever they are called. I would deffinetly be a badass motor if you put it in your 66, but you would have to have a good bit of custom work done to fit it in. You can't really tell the size of a DOHC motor online or something, but i have my 96' cobra motor sitting in the garage, and my dads hipo 5.0 motor he is working on is in there to drop in his 69 mach1, and i'll tell you what, that damn 5.0 looks like a pinto motor compared to my DOHC one.

I am buying a complete motor that is ready to drop in. Its this one right here http://www.karkraft.com/new_page_4.htm

what do i need to do to get this ready for my daily driver like how do i get it set up with my computer. Is it possible? On there site they have a set up that they say can plug into my cars computer. let me know what yall think.
You realise your not going to drop this thing in and drive it as a DD on the street right?

For 6000 bucks... whats wrong with your 2v? Is your current engine shot? if not, 6000 dollars will take you a LONG way, and go alot farther than 375 flywheel horsepower and 360 TQ.

Your only looking at a motor putting out about 325 WHP here... for 6000 bucks.

Here is what I would do with 6K:

Blower kit w/ tune: 4000
I/C; 700
LTs, new midpipe: 800~

that leaves ya 500 bucks left over for some suspension stuff (control arms/subframes/shocks/struts would be nice). your talking 400+ WHP here on a completely streetable car that doesn't have the massive PITA of a carbeartor setup that needs to be adjusted constantly. EFI ftw.

Lets put it this way, if you have never done anything like this before, its not just as simple as dropping it in and being done with it. A carbed 4v would definatly be something different... but thats not always a good thing. your resources for help and parts will be virtually non existant, and god only knows what problems you could run into getting it put in there.

Hell, for 6K if you want to stay N/A you can rebuild your stock 2v with a aftermarket shortblock, cams, valvesprings, and ported heads, and still have something around 800 left over for a custom tune and tuner, and have a decent setup making at least 320 WHP, plus it would be ready for ya to dump the nitrous to it (aftermarket shortblock ftw) and make some real power.

Carbed 4v ftl!

+1 listen to this guy. And if you're dead set on carb then go to edlebrock and get the carb and intake conversion for your 2v and then put heads, cams, etc. . .
