I just got my 97 cobra engine in my 96 gt andI noticed I do not have a wire/ plug for this It is the Solenoid valve. What options do I have here Ford doesnt have the plug or wiring set for it.

The solenoid's part number is e8ae-9h465-ba if this helps at all. It also says <pa66>

I just responded to you PM. I'll look at mine in the morning to see if I even have that hooked up. I believe that valve runs the fresh air pumps for the exhaust. But I will let you know in the morning.

I do not have the pump hooked up. it does control the Secondary air injectors and my car runs fine with out them You will get a check engine light I can't remember the code # but it will be Secondary air injector pump not operating or something like that. I just had my tuner turn of that function when he was tuning my car and I do not get the code anymore.

 

sorry this my sound stupid but you can swap a 4v moter using your 2v wiring harness if soo please send me as much pms as possible thanks

 

so its somthing for smog that pumps air into the exhaust?Because my car isnt starting right now but the starter is working and the engine just soumds likeI have no gas going to it so I assumed this was the problem because ford tod me the car WOUL NOT run withoutit but your car runs smoothly with it off. Any idea what my problem may be?

 

Yes they pump fresh air into the exhaust. Unless my car is special your car should run fine without them hooked up. Did you check your Cam and Crank Sensors?
