coolant leak where from ?
I have been losing coolant but I don't leak from anywhere to the ground . I have been overheating a little . Maybe once every month or so . The coolant level just drops ! The car idles fine . No smoke . Runs great . The coolant in the res boils when it overheats . I changed the thermostat and still it overheats once a month and I notice the level dropping . Could this be a head gasket leaking into an exhaust port ? How can I check this without removing the heads ? Any help is appreciated .
I would pressure test you coolong system. Any service station should be able to do this for you, or you can buy the stuff necessary from an auto part store. If that sees no results and you still suspect head gaskets, do a compression test.

Check behind the alternator for a crack in the intake manifold(if its still the plastic one) you might be losing it into the valley underneth. If that were the case, you would have to change the manifold
it is probly the intake around where the thermostat goes, it usually leaks into the valley under the intake, and them it only spills when your driving, get a flash light and look under the intake to see if it is wet!
I already replaced the intake with a chrome one . I had that problem already and ford paid for a new one . I will try the pressure test . And i will also check my plugs . Thanks for the help and keep the suggestions coming . a compression test is next .
