im trying to put this optima in my car that i have...its 6.75" wide, 6.75" tall, and 9.5" long

it just barely doesnt fit in the battery tray so do i need a different optima and if so what kind of special adaptors will i need???

i have a optimal o u do no need a new battery modify the tray i did

 

yea it was tight but mine fit in there with a good shove

 

ya i just modified the tray and the adaptor for a chevy worked perfectly

 

my red top fit without any modification. dropped right in!!

 

You do know they make different series batteries that are different sizes right? Maybe you got the wrong one. Model and size chart link below
