Nah tranny stays the same... if your an Auto you will WANT 4.10. If you are a manny you can get by with 3.73. But a lot of people that get 3.73 are dissapointed and end up getting 4.10 later. Do you do any highway driving or is it all around town? I mean at the moment you can still run 87 octane so I really don't think you'll notice the cost difference in fuel for 4.10

Ok, your driving is a lot like mine. I hit the highway occasionally and its not bad you just notice a little higher RPMs while at cruising speed. As far as whining, a good install should result in minimal to no noise and the shop will do all the shimming and such needed for the install to be successful.

He's right, if you have an automatic tranny, definately go with 4.10's. I have a manny as he called it and went with 3.73's and I love them. Gas mileage didn't change much.

210-220 miles a tank is horrible gas mileage. I have just about everything but the gears right now and I'm still getting 330 miles a tank. I don't get what the difference is.

Yeah well I get on it... a lot... never shift before 3000 and rarely then. Plus, all of my driving is stop start in the city. That is where my gas goes...

GEARS FTW!!! you can get gears for cheaper than a new CAI... then just save up 2-300 more for an install ou will be 100X happier i promise
