hi my name is joe i got a 03 gt mustang about 3 weeks ago and i love but now i am ready to do some mods this is my first car and i dont know to much so pleaz be patient. I want to get a cold air intake but i dont know which one to get is there a certain brand that should be lookin at? Should i buy an intake that comes with a splash guard or does the mustang already have one in the bumper. any help would great thnx

I would go with K&N or JLT if you want an CAI. Neither are going to giive you much of an increase though. Save your money and get gears or an exhaust first.

well i am guna get some flowmaster exhaust catback, the thing is though i was lookin at gears but the proplen is i work two jobs one full time and all my money is going to the payments i have some money but i dont want to be having pay for gears then for it to be installed the have to mess with the odometer. will new gears kill my gas milleage and which ones should i get 3.55, 3.73 or what this is my daily driver though?

I agree. But, if you are going to get a CAI there isnt much gain difference from one to another. Just try not to unload your wallet on one for the measley few HP you'll get out of it. As far as Gas mileage on gears. I got 4.10 on my DD and I have no issues. Negligable loss in gas milage.

Nah, I was getting 220 miles to a tank of gas when driving "normally." I still see 210 to 215 now... again under "normal driving conditions." I was able to get a friend to install it for like 100$ Pays to know people

Hehehehe same one I got... saw the same increase as my friend with the BBK. You can get the same thing on ebay for like 30$
