yeah I will have to do that. How does the x pipe work does it bolt up to the exuast manifols and run directly to the mufflers? the exuast sounds ok not like some of them though. 2nd gear sound great at 2200 rpm and 3rd and 4th around same rpm.

Yeah, I assumed your setup would sound as clean as an aftermarket mid-pipe would. The aftermarket mid-pipes bolt on to the headers and runs back to the pipe that leads to the mufflers. It's a complete bolt-on system. Some people tend to have a little trouble getting the passenger side to not leak at the header. It is a little trouble to get to, but after maneuvering around you will find the best ways to get it tightened good. Also be sure to use a good gasket. The one that came with my brothers mid-pipe didn't do the job, so we also used the stock one along with that and it worked. I'm not sure if that is recommended but it worked for me.

oh ok so it take the the cats completly out with the catless ok. well they welded the mufflers on so I guess they will just weld the x pipe to the muffler and bolt to the manifold. I will have to find a set. i hear everyone talking about long and short but mine are just stock whatever came on car so I guess I just order for stock set up.

You will not need to weld it in. There are flanges a foot or so before the muffler. The x-pipe will go from those flanges all the way to the headers. It will be in two or three pieces and it all bolts together. The piping will be 2.5" with no cats as opposed to the stock 2.25". You will get the long mid-pipe for the stock, shorty-style headers. The short mid-pipes are for long tube headers.

You don't have 6 cats. You only have 4. Well, you had 4. The two up front are just resonators. Running straight pipes is going to mess up the way your car runs. Straight pipes FTL. [:'(]
Uhh WRONG!!! 6 cats is correct. They are called "Pre-cats". It's a manipulation technique that Ford used to beat emissions standards to save a few bucks on production costs because cats are expensive to produce! Pre-cats are merely less material and spread out through multiple units. 1996-98's had 6 cats in NY and Cali. Also Newer style Fuel injection cars do not rely on back pressure to run better. In fact the less back pressure the better your car will run! The faster the heat moves away from the port in the cylinder head the cooler the air charge going in will be thus creating more power. The problem that he is incurring is due to the heat! Hot air is no where near as dense as cool air is, ther fore he has less of a charge going into his engine compared to on a cool day. Look at it this way.....A Hot day is like a stock engine and a super cold day with a warm engine is like having a 2psi supercharger added on! Also check your gas that you have. Did you recently put a few bucks in your tank?
