Does anyone have a picture or can explain how the valve cover gaskets install on a 98 GT. Or do you know how many holes the gaskets should have. I bought a set that has the right part numbers, it says they're for the correct car but on the gaskets one side has 14 holes and the other has 13 holes but my valve covers only have 11 holes so I don't know how it could possible be right.

well i think you probably bought the wrong gaskets....but all you do is push the gasket in the little gap around the entire valve cover

it sounds like you did pick up or was sent the wrong kind of valve cover gaskets. you should only have 11 holes on the gasket to exactly match the valve cover. it sounds like you were sent either the three valve or four valve valvecover gaskets.

Definitely the wrong gasket. There aren't going to be 4v gaskets though that is the difference between windsor and romeo heads.

don't feel bad...same thing just happened to me. i ordered gaskets off the internet, forget what site. they were torn and 14 bolt hole style (for windsor heads). you should have 11 bolt hole valve covers..i have 11 bolt hole valve covers as well.auto zone (2 stores) and checker all had photos in database of the 14 hole gaskets for a 96, vin code "X" car. i don't know what the problem is. i ended up getting fel-pro part # VS-50377 R-1 gasket set for moutaineers and explorers. i had to trim the passenger side one a little, but just rtv'ed the hell out of it. i have not started the car yet to check for leaks, so don't hold me to anything...just a suggestion. let me know how u turn out

Hey guys, I did indeed get the gaskets for the Windsor heads. But I ordered gaskets for a 98 Crown vic and they fit like a glove so for anyone who's in my boat order those first of all. p.s. I have a set of Valve Covers gaskets for the Windsor covers for sale cheap!
