you should have a 6 bolt fly wheel, to my knowledge its the 99-04 cobra 4v motor that have the 8 bolt flywheel, and i am pretty sure that the 302 windsor was eliminated in the gt's in 95 and in 96 is when they went to the 2v modular v8, not 100% so dont quote me on that... lol

Take a gander at your valve cover bolts.
If you have 11, it's a Romeo block and has a 6 bolt crank
If you have 13, it's a Windsor block and has an 8 bolt crank
Don't go off of the Vin #
It's not always accurate.

the windsor motor also was a 302, on top of putting them in the mustang for years they put them in the 1968 mercury cougar so i know that the windsor was a 302. but i thought that they stoped putting them in mustangs in 96.

What? no 2v came with a 8 blot crank, all the cobras from 96-04 had 8 bolts.
