Default 1/4 mile time

ok, I ran a 14.8 on the quarter mile stock (auto) 1st timer.

with my mods now about 80 degree weather what do you think I'd run?

I live near Pittsburgh PA and go to Pittsburgh Raceway Park aka Keystone Raceway Park.

I advanced my tune all the way so I'm running 93 octane.

What kind of tires are you running? And those Sportlines are not going to help your weight transfer at all.

If you get some decent traction you could pull some low 14's. Like said, the sportlines won't help with traction. What tires are you using?

The Sportlines are a stiff spring, designed to keep the car from rolling and squatting in turns and when you brake. They are a sping designed for handling, like all lowering springs, pretty much. Because they prevent the car from doing that, it also keeps the car from getting the weight to transfer to the rear wheels when you launch. The stiff springs all around want to keep the car level, which is good for the twisties, but not so much for straight line.

Edit: There are also many other variables that can affect your time. Temperature, humidity, elevation, traction, and your driving ability all contribute to what you may see at the track. I would think that, provided you get some good traction, and your driving has improved since the last time you were at the track, you should see some low 14's. However, if you are at a high elevation, then you may only get to mid 14's.

My mistake, looks like I hit quote and not edit the last time.

It'd be helpful to see your original time slip, or at least the 60', 1/8th trap and ET, and then the 1/4 trap and ET..

if your 60' was **** poor *which I gues it was* on your first time outs best, then I'd guess you can easily see a 14.0-14.3 with traction in the 99-100 range

With the mods in your sig and 4:10's, u may run a 13.9-14.1 at 98mph with DR's. As far as the springs go, u actually want the front end to rise and rear end to squat to transfer weight and get the tires/rear suspension to dig in, preventing tire spin. Sportlines are not designed to do that, but are a good corner carving/road racing type spring. I ran MM coilers in front with their drag springs out back with other stuff and was able to get a 1.8's out out a 02 gt with everything but heads/cams...it ran 13.3's/102-103mph.
