he said he needs the car now. id rebuild it and save every penny for next time, you can go with a tko. rebuild is the quick fix and cheaper.. replace is the long term fix and more expensive.

not everybody is willing to co-sign for a loan, even parents. if you don't pay for it, they're responsible for it or their credit gets ruined too.

they arent responsible for the loan, but their credit will be affected. its basically the co-signer putting their credit up as collateral. if you get a co-signer u owe it to them to do everything to make payment early and/or ontime.

Yes, they ARE responsible for the loan as a co-signer. Why else would their credit be hit?

When you apply for a loan without a co-signer, you put your credit up. Doesn't mean you're not responsible for it.

incorrect. co-signing gives them the assurance that if that person screws them, they can go after the co-signer to get their money.

I'm assuming his parents don't hate him here guys.. lol...

If he's working to pay the stuff off, but can't afford it now, I just don't see a rebuild being a better route. I've seen the kid drive his car at the track. It's all or nothing.. lol

hey clint. its awesome to hear your heilicoil went well!

i am definatly not going to waste my money rebuilding the 3650. i have tomarrow off so i can check with my bank on a loan. i have transpertation, so i can wait, but i at least want the tko in before the season's over,so i can take it to the track. and i was also thinking if im going to get a loan i might as well make it a big one and get a terminator motor. that would make the monthly payments really worth it!
