Default Need advice on Intake Kit

Has anyone used either one of the kits listed below? There is a big difference in price and would love to go the cheaper route but am a little hesitant on which one will really works. Just a little background I have a stock 97 GT with a cracked intake manifold and looking to upgrade the intake only.

Thanks for your input,

Don

I would buy a cheap stocker at a junk yard and wait on upgrading until you can get the PI heads too. Otherwise your just throwing money away unles you never plan to upgrade the heads...

Yeah, The eBay guy is packing sand, just selling the same aftermarket manifold you can get at Advance Auto/Parts America for $250 (with a lifetime warranty)--you could probably get 5 of 'em from some distributor for less than $200 each.Unless you plan on doing PI head too there will be little to no gain...The Livernois package may do what they say, although the 35 HP claim (properly qualified"as much as") is a bit bold... don't listen to these guys saying you wont get much of a gain with the PI manifold and not to do it if your not doing PI heads down the road. I'm running the First link you posted (livenois manifold swap kit) with stock untouched non pi heads/cams and i gained 35rwhp and 19lbs tq, keep in mind i am supercharged, but i have buddies that have done this and both got approximately 20rwhp from it. The biggest difference in these manifolds is that my car now pulls very solid at top end, whereas before it would fall on its face. Unless you want to spend a fortune on a bullitt, RR, or P51, this is the only way to go! good luck and any questions just let me know.

I concur. PI heads are not the be all end all of modular Mustangs.

Thanks for all the advice, I think I am going to go with the Livernois intake and call it done. 97stanger very nice car. I wish my 97 GT was half of what yours is, very sweet ride. Thanks again guys.
