Default clutch freeplay question

How much clutch free play should you have on a 98 gt thanks

on my 97 gt which is the same i have a ton only in the last i dont inch or so does it grap. hope that helps

It picks up right of the floor but when I pedal is all the way up it has about 1/2 inch or so of free travel. I didnt know if thats what it is suppose to be or not. dont want to mess the clutch up.

Sounds like you have a good clutch! Freeplay from the top is just the diff. of space where the throwout bearing rests away from the clutch. The 1/2" you say is the throwout bearing getting pushed against the flywheel and then the rest is the clutch forks collapsing to release the clutch! Mine is the same way with my stock clutch. My aftermarket rides higher than oem, but that for the quick shifts with my steeda quadrant

stock clutch is self adjusting just pull the pedalup with ur foot n it shoudl set right
but half inch sounds good
