i just thought of this .... when i installed my steeda tri ax a few months ago... i put the gasket maker, titened the bolts and then went on a ride ... do u need to let the silicon sit for a while because i sure didnt ...
No need to let it dry. Its not so liquidy ( im not even sure if thats a word. lol) that the fluid will come out. In the time it takes you to put it back together and drive it will have sealed.
theirs no real fluid pressure up there that I know of that could blow the sealant out. but in the future you should let rtv get tacky before you assemble and let it dry for an hour or two if possible before you start it up... not that I've always done that, only that you "should" hehe
im installing my shifter tomorrow or the day after.... any tips installing it? how do i get the little console thing out that has the boot on it? i dont see how it pops out?
