ditch the bbk cai and replace that with an super/turbo charger and bam-o that is your weight reduction.
anyways the 99-04 vert only weighs about 150lbs more than a coupe. which is nothing really compared to the fox body verts

rear seats elimination (there is a kit for it to make it look flush)...maybe get rid of spare tire also.

Its really hard to loose weight without spending as much or more money than it would cost to add horsepower and get the same results, that is to do all this AND not sacrifice anything.

You can do the rear seat delete, replace the front seats with lightweight aftermarket, pull the spare tire/jack and hope you don't have a flat, do a tubular K memeber with a arms ($$$) to start, but thats thousands already there.

If your willing to sacrifice (I would not be) you can pull the rear speaker deck/amps, a/c, etc etc.

Spend a few hundred on a programer and you will pull on him. Quit whinning he got lucky, he runs 9.6 - 10.0 at the 1/8.

The rear seat cushions are so light you could spin them on your finger.
Especially the bottom cushion.
The seat back is a little heavier, but not much.

Its supposed to be a 20-30 pound drop on the average rear seat delete.

You remove the seat, seatbelts/hardware, headrests, and backrest.
