Default x pipe

i was looking into buying a x pipe for my 2000 mustang gt n i need to know if anyone knows which ones are legal in CA so i need ur guys opinion and suggestions

hah, i passed emissions last friday . but i have the cats i can swap in under my bed just in case.

in cali i would go catted, there ****'s over there.

damn i know well i was really thinking of getting an x pipe and and custaom making it. what i really want to do is get test pipes and just clamp it on and when i have to go for smog swap in my cats to just pass smog what do u think?

Anything but stock is illegal in CA, catted or OR, until the car is 8 years old. Plan on spending around$1000 in fines if you get caught.

running a catted mid pipe i highley doubt u would get busted for noise

I run an off-road Pypes x pipe. No tickets yet. Unless you find an X-pipe that has cats in the stock locations it will be deemed illegal. California sucks, which is why I'm moving in about a year.

If you're worried about being smog legal keep your stock mid pipe and switch it out when you have to smog it or....don't switch it. The few times I've been pulled over the cop has never looked under my car. They mostly hassle the ricers out here.....

They are trying to stop any type of modifications to your car, hell I even heard they are trying to outlaw aftermarket exhaust.......
