Originally the book did say 5, but it was switched to 6. I have the sticker from Ford in the back of my manual for my 96gt which says to disregard what was printed and use 6 qts of 5w-30.

from what i know and what all my friends around here say its not so good to run royal purple every time you change the oil...i would do so every now and again but for the most part i just run castrol

 

Why isnt it good to run royal purple all the time?

 

I've run it for 5 years and the car runs great. Listen to people who run it all the time. IM Not sure why you'de change different oilback and fourth. Must be hidden secret...I run 6 qts and change every 5000. Wipe the dipstick clean and re-dip it and you should see your oil. If you can't, read you owners manual to see how many quarts it takes, you maybe low.

 

Check your oil in the day light... Honestly, who can't see thir oil to check it? THat sounds stupid... But good for you for using RP...
