Any suggestion's on what this might be would help. From what I have tested so far leeds me to think it's the altanator or it's coming from that general area.
Yeah.. More like a screeching sound. I realize it's super loud but take a long screwdriver and touch the flat or phillips end (either or) to the alt. while running and grab the handle part with your hand like you would unscrew something that is super tight. Your pointer finger and thumb should be at the top. Place your ear to those two fingers with the scre driver just resting against your ear! REMEMBER....a bad bearing will be SUPER loud so just do this slowly and be aware. You can and will give your self a severe earache if that's your problem. I would try this on your idler pulley and if you can reach the top part of the waterpump as well! This is def. a bearing noise, you just have to locate the source. A completely sound bearing will have a slight hum to it. Try this on another car so you can train your ear, although if you cannot hold your ear to the crewdriver end, then you know what the problem is!!..lol
