SUpercharged tune Question
I have a S/C 4.6 and want to increase the boost from 6-12psi. once the car has been tuned for the S/C do you have to retune fot the added boost? The is is running rich right now so what do you think. I'm new to S/C so I'm not sure and don't want to spend money that I don't have too.

RE: SUpercharged tune Question
For sure....you're going to increase power around 21%by doubling the boost. You need to correctly deliver fuel throughout the RPM range to be able to do that. A tune is in your future.

RE: SUpercharged tune Question
its got about 350 miles on it and as far as a gain went from 190 - 257 rwhp and about 240 rwtq- 307 wrtq. I have to get it retuned for the metanol injection that just came in the mail. The only thing I don't like about the powerdyne is it has a whistle sort of like a jet turbin engine but it goes away after hitting the boost range.

Its not going to take it unless you have had it gone thru by a aftermarket company, and even then its just not a good idea on a powerdyne. there is a reason they cost half of what a good supercharger does... quailty.
Edit: You will also need a retune definatly.

Going to 12 PSI is going to be pushing the limits of your engine, but it won't matter, because if you increase the PSI to 12 on a powerdyne the only thing you are goign to do is constantly shred the belts.

even then, the cost of the rebuild on powerdynes to be able to take any respectable boost, you'll be spending almost the same money you would have on a non-cooled vortech kit.
