Default dead battery?????

I go to drive my car today and it wouldn't crank b/c I haven't cranked it since Tue or Wed so I jump her off and everything runs fine. I drove for about an hour to charge her up and then she still cranked about 30 mins later. I come out a couple of hours later and she wouldn't crank again and it took awhile to jump her off, but she jumped and everything ran fine. The only real question I have is when it won't crank all of the lights still come on and the radio runs fine, that doesn't sound like a dead battery to me. Is it the battery or could it be something else? I'm going to get it tested tomorrow after school.

Sounds like you've got a dead cell.

Sounds like a dead battery to me. If it runs fine while on and right after, then your alternator is fine.

I had a battery that was dieing and I could jump it and it would last for a while then die again when I had to turn it on again. As soon as I got a new battery, the car cranked faster than I had ever seen it.

A twelve voltbattery has six cells. When one dies the battery will still charge and run your car but it will dye very very fast. If your battery has one of those site glasses on it you could try looking at it but the site glass is on only one cell. If it's not that cell then it'll tell you the battery is good when it's not.
