aight well im considering a blower cam. thinkin about callin up tim at mph and having him custom grind a cam. now heres the part im confused about. Im wanting to make about 550rwhp or so, im in the process of saving for the built motor but its gonna be about 6months or so before i get the money. should i go ahead and get the cam that corresponds with that setup or should i get a blower cam that best fits my application now? i dont really wanna short myself when i get the motor built but i dont wanna lose power now either. what should i do?

you can check out my username and in any thread about cams that I replied in I suggest getting custom cams from Tim. Have tim grind a set for your future setup if you are not looking like waaayyyy down the road. I have a set of his custom grind cams myself. He is know for making cams that produce serious HP while keeping drivability. Tell him exactly what you are looking for and what you will have and he'll have acome up with specsfor you. I believe it took only a few weeks to get mine. I had ordered a set of VT stage 2's and after playing the waiting game with them, I cancelled my order and got Tim's cams. I have had motor issues and and doing a new motor soI haven't had a chance to "test" them out but I have all the faith in the world that they are just what i need.

Your going to need a retune if you do a cam right now..... why not just wait until you have the built motor and do it all at once.

Espcially if you cannot do the cam install yourself, your going to waste a bunch of money doing the cam now. Its still going to make more power than a stock cam car would... but why waste the money and time?

what i was thinkin about doin now is savin for h/c/i. im tryin to wait on the heads though because i keep hearing that trickflow may be comin out with a true aftermarket head. if they dont im just gonna go with a stage 2 head, a blower cam, and the hardballer intake. and still somehow manage to keep it under 450rwhp at 10-12psi depending on the temp. once i get the bottom end done, and rebuild the tranny, i want to max out the v2, and maybe add a shot of nitrous! thats why im sayin should i get a cam that suits that setup, and do it now, along with the h/i and get it tuned or will that cam be too much for my current application?

You might have to get a new fuel set-up also... I would check into that... seems like I heard somebody say they had to get a complete new fuel setup once there fuel pump maxed out at 475... (It was Nanaki If I remember correctly)

I would look into it.
