question about alignment or bent control arms
I know this sounds like my car is getting a lot of problems but when I went out to get gas and to the store I bumped aparking curb and it gave me a good jolt (I hit itwith the tires straight)I don't know how fast I was going when I hit it but I am gussing by the jolt of hitting the parking curb I think I was going about three miles an hour when I hit it or less. i looked under the car and nothing looks bent and the car drives straight and the steering wheel does not shake when i drive, so I think the car is okay as long it does not happen again. I figure if anything happens once you won't hurt the car atvery slow speed. If you do it more than once the car may start having problems.

RE: question about alignment or bent control arms
If you bent your control arm you would notice vibration in the steering wheel, uneven tire wear and basically all the signs of being out of alignment (which you would be), but bumping a curb at 3mph won't bend your control arms. If you notice the aforementioned symptoms, get an alignment, if they notice it won't align to specs, it might be a bent arm, highly unlikely but possible I suppose.

RE: question about alignment or bent control arms
Like sap said if you don't have any problems don't worry about it. As far as only being able to do it once before you break something....you can do it as many times as you want until you break something. I don't mean to be a smart *** but it's not how many times you do it, it's just how hard you hit something.
