Default Bilstein shocks/struts ?

I got quoted by a guy who works for Roush performance and he can get me Bilstein shocks and struts. Front 140 each and rear 84 each. Is this a good buy for Bilsteins?

Yes, I can see why they would knock them if they are only drag oriented. Bilstein is one of the top manufactures of shocks and struts, and they're price reflects it. A set of shocks and struts usually runs around $600, and is perfect for smoothing out a severly lowered car, a car intended for road racing, or a daily driver that does/ has some of both. If you are only interested in a drag set up, they're are a few different companies to choose from, like Strange, that make a fully adjustable shock and strut that can be had for around $400 for all 4. So, since Bilsteins are 50% more expensive and less effective for drag racing than a fully adjustable shock and strut, they aren't exactly the optimal choice for drag.

Strange suck, sorry but me and my buddy put them on his car and after 3 months one of the front ones kept popping so he stole my idea of tokico D shocks. Those shocks make the world of difference compared to strange since they are 16 way adjustable, on the crappiest roads the car feel smooth and cornering you feel like your in a lotus (at 2 below max setting, although i hear good things about the blistiens, adjustables FTW!
