Default heads/cams

im lookin to possibly sell my 2006 v6 for something i can put down good n/a power with. What is everyone seeing with the usual bolt ons and a streetable cam? What about you guys with heads/cams? I searched but the search on this forum never seems to work for me. If i sell my car i will have about 20k total to spend and im trying to figure out whether i want to go with a 15k gt i found with real low miles and do the usual bolt ons and cams right off the batt and eventually maybe heads, or just go with a mach 1 with low miles and have no money to mod for a while... what do you guys think?

Hah, love the mower in the sig...Go mach 1 if you can afford it. With a couple small bolt ons a mach 1 will run away from afull bolt on GT. Its a 4 valve motor, superior design plain and simple. Got to mach1registry.org and ask around there. If you cantfind a mach, you might want to look for a 3 valve GT...

with full bolts on heads and cams you should be around 300whp. then add some gears and a 100 shot and youll be set [8D]

hmmm i think im gonna try for a mach 1, but i may end up with an 04 gt. What are the popular head/cam packages people are running around here on the 2v daily drivers/street cars.

This winter Ill be running stock heads with stage II cams, not sure on brand yet, have not decided, everyone says good things about VT, so Ill probably be going with them. Mach 1's are ok, IMO, I dont like how they have the 4V heads and stock GT internals, I would go with a 99/01 cobra over the Mach 1. You get the good stuff on the inside and the benefits of the 4V!

oh and in my area, they 99/01s are cheaper than the Mach's. Yes a little older but found one in great condition for 2G less than a similar Mach 1 that was 2 years newer
