4th Gear!!!!
Hi guys,
today when i was at the dyno after the 1st run, my trany started to pop out of 4th gear after releasing the clutch, and if i force it in the tranny would grind, and its hard getting it into reverse, i dont know whats the problem, the dyno guy said it might be the fork or the short shifter pins might need an adjust.....
did any one face this problem?????

sounds likemybrothers.. it was a synchro .. if you have to rebuild it yourself .. its gonna be a few hundred bucks .. if you pay someone expect it to be around 900-1000 in parts and labor .. but that sound identical tohis problem .. luckily the warranty covered it .. 1700 from the dealership ...

Bent shifting fork, or one of the nylon bushings on the fork, 99.99% sure. First and fifth are usually the ones that go out like that, but it does happen to the other gears too. Usually happens when you use excessive force to throw it in gear (happened to me 3 times in different cars).
