Default Turn Key Engine

I've been looking around on e-bay at nascarturn key engines, would a 351W work with my 03 GT computer, I'm sure I would have to get a tuner too. I don't want to build my 4.6 cause I heard the bottom end is too weak.

if your doing a 351 swap, your best bet is to go carb'd. then all you really need is a K-member from a '94-'95 GT,a few fabrications and you're set.

For that money man just supercharge or nitrous your car. It wont effect you're drivability. Those engines are 5grand plus. You have to throw in the cost of a new transmission/bellhousing, exhaust, not to mention all the other clusterfuk probs you will run into. Take my advice, introduce yourself to kenne belle. You wont be dissapointed. Or buy a forged shortblock(4.6) and run a big shot of nitrous on it. Swapping that engine to me would just be a giant clusterfuk and completely unnecessary.

well some people would disagree.. if i had a deal on a 5.4 id swap it in a heartbeat.

he is right unless you want it for originality, youre better off getting a cobra motor or built 2V.. you wanna throw a 351 in there, anything is possible. but you wont be emmissions compliant (most likely) and youre going to have a hell of a time getting the parts to mate up to the motor. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE, and it would be a time/money consuming project, it would also be the first time ive ever seen it.

If it was a 5.4 I would say go for it, but he is looking at pushrod engines and personally i think it would be a waste of money. It would be cool, and original, but I would bet that the car would have some issues.

for that money you could build yourself a 302 stroked to 347! and i dont understand why i pay 4 times that much for a motor every year for my race car... those engines might have 500hp but they do not have the throttle response or ability to turn 8-9k rpms like a dry sump cup motor or hell even a 2bbl dry sump motor
