Default question about exaust

Ok so im just thinking here.

We were replacing my buddies motor mounts yesterday (or trying to at least haha). we took all the exhaust off except for the headders. Hes got a 97 I think? Anyways... we started it up w/out the H or Catback and damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn you could literly feel it in your chest. My question is this..

What would be the pros(if any)/cons of modifing a catless H Pipe to have no H? (basically sepp. exaust run to the rear of the car). Would that be bad or cause power loss?

just keep an OR h pipe. the hpipes have problems transferring exhaust at higher rpm ive heard too...so its basically what your wanting to do anyways. probably be some power loss tho and i dont know what it would do to the sound. what made you think about wanting to do this anyways? open headers is completely different than seperate tubes?

i would keep the crossover (h part of the pipe), if you just want it louder get rid of your mufflers.

Leave the crossover in. It promotes exhaust scavenging (somewhat, and less than an x) which improves power.
