It cuts fuel, applies nessicary brakes, and retards the timing as it feels needed. . . its basically the "remove your *****" button if you forget to turn it off

I think it was an option on the 99 GT, and standard on 00+ GT's.

hmmm, mien is a 00 and i dont have trac control, unless i am completely blind and cant see the button for it. All you guys with trac control, is the button supposed to be right next to the cigarett lighter , in front of the shifter boot???

It dosnt retard timing or apply breaks, THAT is stability contol & its not even offered on our cars. All traction control does is cut fuel. You must have anti-loc breaks to have traction control OPTION.
