Default 2nd gear grind

in my 03 gt when i shift to 2nd softly and at any rpm it feels like a little grind. any body know why? or is it normal?

Synchro gettin worn. 2nd gives up first, it's the gear that gets used the hardest.

ive only had it a month and got in 1 race (with an 02 gt all stock and won by a half car!)should probably take it in forwarranty work huh

YES!!! Does anyone in here search for old topics about trans problems in the TR3650's???? Because if you did you will note the TSB i give out everytime i read one of these. The syncro's have too many teeth on them and they dont mesh well. So the rebuild kit for youre trans have alot less teeth and they mesh great.

well, mine does it worse when the car isn't warmed up, when its pretty warmed up its almost not noticeable.

Mine does the same thing when cold. When it's like 32° out it is notchy. When warmed up it shifts like butter. I my take it to ford for warranty but I heard they may not like a aftermarket shifter. Either way it is not a problem...I just am real easy till she warms up.

I asked this a while back but i don't think i got an answer. Is the tsb free if i don't have a warranty. If not how nuch to get it done. My second gear is crapping out on me.
