I need some specs on the Sn95 Mustangs
Alright im looking into getting a SN95 mustang GT and I need some specs on them
What is the average 1/4th mile in a stock healthy SN95?
Top speed in a healthy SN95?
How well do they respond to N/A mods?
Thanks

Why are you going to get a non-PI motor? I have a 97 GT and the only thing I would have done differently is get the PI motor. It's 60 extra horsepower and revs much better than the non-pi's. Just something to think about.
To answer your question, their 1/4 mile is high 14's. I don't know the top speed. They respond well to non P/A upgrades. If you add the PI heads and intake, you increase your compression ratio. That should help you if you don't plan on puttinga blower on.
Hope this helps.

4.6's respond horribly to bolt on's. Get a 5.0 SN-95 if you want better bolt on power. Parts are a lot cheaper and easier to find for 5.0's than 4.6's... NPI - non-power improved and PI - power improved. In '99 Ford upped horsepower to 260 due to upgraded (PI) heads, cams, and intake manifold. If you buy a NPI ('96-'98) SN-95, the first thing I would do would be to swap a PI SN-95 engine ('99-'04) into it. Some people, including myself, have done just the PI swap - which consists of PI heads, cams, and intake manifold. You'll have a few more rwhp than a stock PI due to the increase in compression. If you want power out of a 4.6 you're better to go with F/I. You're going to spend a lot trying to keep it N/A... Stock 1/4 for a NPI SN-95is right around 14.8 and for a stock PI SN-95 I think is around 14.4, but some have had better luck. I'm not sure about the 5.0 SN-95's but I imagine it to be close to the NPI Mustangs...I had my car up to 135 mph on a dyno and I was almost at redline in fourth. I don't know if it would hit 140 mph. It's governed at 155 mph. Good luck with whatever you decide...

I love the sn-95 and its lines. I agree with the PI upgrade. Swap heads and intake (they sell a kit) and it should make a big difference.. Or you can drop a 99 or newer engine with similar results.
my 97 isn't governed at 120.. hit 135 still slowly climbing. that was plenty for me

Hey guys if I'm not mistaken SN95 was from 94 to 04 so I assume we are talking about the 94-98's right??
In 99' the Gt's were equipped with different heads/cams/intakes that made more power than pre 99' 4.6SOHC's.

Honestly, I would say pony up the extra few thousand and get yourself a SN-95 Cobra. 4v>2v all day, and 96-98's can be had for 8-10k in decent condition.
