V6 mustang bumper on GT?
ok this is backwards from everything ive seen (v6's wanting gt bumpers for the cutouts) but i wanna put a v6 bumper on mine to get rid of the cutouts (im gonna have my buddy in sheet metal fab me some exhaust tips and i dont want the cutouts). will i have to get a shop bend the catbacks or do any sort of mods to the pipes or is the v6 bumper cut higher and my tips will just sit below the bumper?

yeah i told u ima get my buddy to make me some exhaust tips, and they wont fit in those circles, so i dont want the cutouts with no pipes in em. the v6 bumpers are cut higher so there wont be clearance issues with my current exhaust will there?

that's sounds cool, but just so i get a visual, what type of tips is he going to make you? cus you say they won't fit, is itcircle ones that won't fit in the regular gt spot?flat ones? describe what kind of tips he's makin u...
if your car is lowered, u may have clearance issues..

Well if you plan on throw downs...that would be sweet. I just put my V6 bumber on my gt and the Cobra R front so it looks good with the exaust coming out of the side....but I wouldnt be puttin the tips under the V6 bumber

The v6 bumper is identical in every aspect to the gt bumper EXCEPT the cutouts, so its not higher or anything like that, they just did not cut and mold the bumper, they just left it alone. You will need to cut the catback from over the axle and fab up new pipes going to the rear bumper to make it look descent.

It would be a pretty nasty sleeper to have the V6 bumper and get the V6 stock style exhaust tip welded on.
I saw a show once where they were fixed up an old Nova as a sleeper. Kept hubcap wheels on it and everything. They fabbed up a performance exhaust for it, but used the rusty tip from the original exhaust that was exposed behind the rear wheel. Looked like a little 6 cylinder until they fired it up.....
