Burns oil!

Burns oil!
My cobra burns oil. There is a blue smoke coming out of the exhaust after I step on the gas and smells like burned oil too.
It's kind of weird, because it got only 6K miles on it. I am running Mobil 1 5w-30 synthetic. There are no external leaks in the engine and
it doesn't leak through the gaskets nor oil pan. Do you guys have a clue? What would you suggest?
P.S. My guess is it could either be the oil rings (unlikely because of the mileage) or valve seals. If the latter, how much to fix?

RE: Burns oil!
some puke mechanic at ford told me that you werent supposed to switch to a fully synthetic oil till your engine broke in at about 6 thousend miles...could be that but thats just a guess...said the synthetc was to fine and doesnt have the wax that other oil has so it can get between bearings and all that mumbo jumbo.
