Default buying a SN95 what to look out for(with pics now)

theres more ppl here than in gen disc.
tell me what to look for as far as car reliabilty
im wanting a DD so perf. doesnt matter now( that will be later)

4.6L sohc motors suck for power, but besides that. The plastic intakes crack at the thermostat housing. There are upgradeable if it hasn't been done already plastic intakes with an aluminum crossover to prevent the problem. If it cracks it can damage your head and then you'll be in deep! There was a recall but it is no longer.The coil packs have a tendency to crack on the bottom where you cannot see, so if it skips or runs crappy you have to pull it off to look at the bottom.(they are cheap)5spd cars have a tough time staying in reverse,(you must hold it in until clutch has been engaged and then it will stay)the emergency brake cable has been recalled because it needs to be up super high to grab. They suck either way!!! Other than that, the car should run forever if you take car of it.

Which SN95 are you referring to? The 94-98 ones? or the "new edge" ones from 99-04?Big difference between the two.

the 94-98 modles
i thought the new edge were called "S 281" or something like that

sn95 is 94-04 usualy the 99-04 is called the new edge, s197 is 05+

94-95's are 5.0's (pushrod powa!)
96- so on are 4.6's

yeah i would really like the pushrod 5.0 since i know that motor and have worked around that motor for 'bout 4-5 yrs, but this if this
car is really well kept i might go with it.
